We have a customer that has the below need for a perm position in the Fort Worth, TX. (Note: No relocation provided)

Job Summary

The Industrial Plant Engineer is responsible for directing, coordinating, and participating in engineering activities linked to manufacturing. This role manages the manufacturing engineering function and may also manage the factory continuous improvement program. This position enables the Company to maintain safety, productivity, and customer service requirements.

Major Responsibilities

·         Establishing and maintaining labor standards and costs
·         Initiating, coordinating, and implementing process improvements and cost reduction activities
·         Ensuring that engineering documentation is accurate, complete, and gets to the factory exactly when needed for production
·         Designing and implementing effective flow strategies through cellular plant layout designs
·         Managing the factory Customer Response initiatives, i.e. quality, MO system, etc; participating as a member of the Company’s Manufacturing Engineering Standards Team
·         Managing Agency Approvals reviews and compliance
·         Managing engineering relationships between Operations, Design and Manufacturing teams
·         Developing and implementing lean manufacturing methods for manufacturing and production operations
·         Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities related to plan designs
·         Improving manufacturing and production performance by deploying lean and Six Sigma methods as appropriate
·         Training, coaching, and mentoring subordinate Manufacturing Engineers and production teams
·         Engaging in all required HR activities including recruitment, coaching, counseling, performance management, associate development, etc
·         Fulfilling the financial control and risk management responsibilities inherent in this position
·         Conducting yourself in accordance with the Company Code of Ethics policy at all times

Required Skills, Experience, Education & Certifications

Items listed are required unless “preferred” is indicated

·         Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering required
·         5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
·         Experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioner or equivalent education/experience
·         Strategic thinker with proven people skills
·         Strong analytical and negotiating skills
·         Understanding the Company’s product offerings and construction related materials
·         Comfortable working primarily in a plant setting, interacting with associates at all levels
·         Ability to have considerable contact with sales/marketing, production control, engineering, operations, customers, and vendors/suppliers
·         Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
·         Proficient with PC computers and basic to intermediate expertise in MS Office programs
·         Proven ability to take a total quality approach to all work
·         Ability to focus and remain aware of conditions that may affect associate safety
