Agency:      Water/Wastewater Department

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes.**May be acquired after hire and obtained prior to the end of the probationary period.

 

Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications):

Class I Water Treatment Operator’s Certificate and Class I Wastewater Treatment Operator’s Certificate is preferred.

 

Hours:          Full Time, 7:30AM – 4:00PM, weekends, holidays, on-call required

 

Salary:           $16.00 – $20.00 / hour

 

Summary:

Maintains and cleans the collection system for the Water/Wastewater Department.

 

Duties:

Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
Promotes and maintains positive and effective working relationships and promotes good public relationships as a representative of Licking County Government.
Operates VAC truck to clean sewer mains, manholes, step tanks, pump station wet wells, etc.
Inspects sewer lines, leaks and/or breaks by operating the Closed Circuit TV camera equipment.
Operates and maintains department equipment (i.e., back hoe, front loader, tractor, dump truck, tanker).
Responds to routine and emergency situations/service calls related to the collection system.
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on VAC truck and equipment.
Performs water/wastewater operator duties as needed.
Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures.
Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend seminars/training.
