Programme and Quality Manager – School Quality Enhancement programme (SQEP)

The School Quality Enhancement program initiated by Education Alliance in partnership with SDMC (South Delhi Municipal Corporation) is an initiative to transform schools into quality learning spaces. Under this programme Katha has adopted 5 (2 last year, 3 this year) schools in South Delhi Municipal Corporation.

In the past year that Katha has operated two of the 5 schools, they have seen quality improvement in infrastructure development, pedagogical interventions, learning outcomes, enrolment and retention of children. Moreover, the school in South Extension received the best school in central zone award.
Given Katha’s success, this programme is being expanded to include three more schools for quality enhancement.

We are looking for a programme quality manager to oversee the programme in 5 SQEP schools and ensure qualitative implementation of Katha’s pedagogical principals.

Key Responsibilities – Programme Quality Manager

The key responsibility of the Programme Quality Manager is to ensure high academic standards in the implementation of the programme. The academic standards are determined by Katha’s pedagogical principals that have been refined over the past three decades. It is expected that the concerned manager would internalise these principals and oversee its implementation in all SQEP schools.

Other than the above, responsibilities of the programme quality manager include:

1. Leading the Team

 Maintain highest level of performance of the project and the team involved.
 Monitoring & Evaluation and ensure timely reporting on all deliverables.
 Strengthen capacities of the project staff involved and keep them highly motivated

2. Operational Management
 Will be the point of contact for all information regarding SQEP schools.
 Will act as a nodal point of contact for Katha, Donor Partner and SDMC
 Attend meetings and sessions organized in relation to the project.
 Study and Monitor School Information System (SIS)
 Ensure optimum utilization of the resources under the project.
 Ensure robust engagement of all the stakeholders involved in the project.
 Build strong relationship with school principal, staff, SDMC officials and other stakeholders

Desirable Skills

 Masters Degree or above with at-least 5 yrs of relevant experience
 Strong Leadership Skills and ability to manage all stakeholders
 Good Communication Skills – Both Hindi and English
 Report Writing Skills
 Strong inclination and interest in education and academics
 Should be able to deliver under deadlines

Location – New Delhi India
Compensation Offered – Commensurate with experience and expertise of the candidate
