Job Summary (Purpose):

The Senior Compliance Specialist will advance Global Compliance program by assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, monitoring established programs, conducting internal reviews, identifying possible issues with compliance, and in developing strategies to avoid noncompliance. This position will assist with compliance related activities at Client’s business units, working with the Law Department, Corporate functions (including Risk/SOX and Internal Audit) and external service providers (including consultants, outside counsel and the external auditors). The role will further enhance compliance program by performing risk assessment activities, developing and implementing policies and procedures, establishing and conducting monitoring activities, investigating instances of noncompliance, and coordinating the preparation and delivery of trainings.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with designing compliance policies and procedures across the organization; working with internal resources/departments and external contacts, including but not limited to, external counsel, consultants and other service providers, as needed.
Advance the Company’s anti-bribery and corruption/FCPA program, third–party due diligence process, and the refresh of the Company’s Code of Conduct.
Research legal requirements, provide periodic updates on emerging compliance changes, and determine the impact on the Company and its subsidiaries; propose modifications to existing program to reflect needed changes.
Assist in the preparation of information for the Audit Committees and the Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance Committees of the Board of Directors.
Participate in cross-functional/cross-business initiatives, as needed.
Develop content for compliance related topics and deliver training to employees.
Conduct investigations of high-priority allegations of ethics violations, fraud, or other noncompliance at the business units, in coordination with outside counsel, as needed. Monitor the investigation process surrounding helpline and reported allegations of fraud; perform analysis on the allegations received to identify trends and/or needed control enhancements/trainings.

Requirements include:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or experience; Graduate, MBA or comparable advanced degree is a plus
A minimum of 5 years’ related job experience in compliance
Investigative, auditing or legal background
Experience with a multi-national organization
Industry experience, preferred
Compliance related certification, such as CFE, CCEP, or CCEP-I, preferred
Ability to quickly understand and apply policies and procedures
Ability to research and interpret regulations and laws and disseminate information Ability to design processes and evaluate the effectiveness of controls
Ability to analyze financial and other data relevant to allegations of misconduct, including fraud
Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to professionally communicate with all levels of management
Self-starter; ability to work with limited supervision
Minimum of 2 years’ project management experience; six sigma or similar training preferred
Proficient at intermediate/advanced level in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner
Strong decision-making, solid judgment, creativity, and problem-solving skills
Foreign language skills, such as German, French or Polish are desirable
Significant travel (up to 30%) required, both domestic and international.
